My piece is singable, it is mainly composed of steps and skips and there is a few small leaps. My piece does feel like it returns home at the end because I end on the same note I started on.
it may be the way the program played it back to me, but between the slurs and dynamics it was very jumpy and attack-and-retreat-y which is very fun and cool! :)
I like the way the eight 8th notes in the 2nd measure come back in the 4th measure. Interesting that the piece gets quieter from beginning to end. I notice the accent on the 2nd note in the 2nd measure - why did you decide to put it there? It kind of makes me want to hear an accent on every offbeat in that measure, OR maybe a decrescendo instead of the sudden mp. Often as a melody goes up it gets louder, so I find it interesting that you have it softer as it gets higher.
Very nice! It's simple and sweet. I liked your use of slurs and staccatos.
